“Our family's stay at Helen and Richie's property for the holidays was perfect. Waking up to views of the lake every morning, watching flocks of birds travel on the water and being surrounded by nature was all we could ask for. The house has all amenities provided in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. Location is convenient near shops, grocery, and restaurants in New Fairfield. The hosts were very responsive in communication and I appreciated them providing everything we needed. ”

“Our rental process with Jose was straightforward and easy. We didn't have any issues at all with access or the property for our one-night stay, so I didn't need to contact Jose for anything at all :)The home was comfortable and nicely renovated, but rather small inside as I believe it was a trailer home. It was enough space for three of us to stay overnight but not much more. It sits rather close to a road but was still quiet for the night we were there.”

“This is a beautiful mid century modern house! The windows in the main room are huge and really fill the room with light, and the couch is large and comfortable. The whole space was very clean, the bathrooms had everything we needed, and the office provided a nice private place to take a zoom meeting or two. Comfortable beds, a pretty three season porch, and it was a perfect relaxing retreat for two teachers looking for peace and quiet on their spring break.”

“We stayed in early May, so didn't get to enjoy the lake, other than the serene view from the many windows in the house. Bird lovers will enjoy the many, many birds observable through the sliding glass doors and audible constantly. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well-stocked with what we needed to cook our meals. We found plenty of places to hike. We found the description on vrbo a little confusing because the house next door was also pictured. We figured it out, though. ”

It was nice of them to vacate their home so we could stay - though we wish that would have been communicated. There is no extra room with twin beds - at least not functional. The property is nice. “This place is amazing!! The house had everything we needed and more. We really enjoyed our stay and also be able to host some of our family in the area was precious. My daughters rented equipment for the babies which worked out well. The house is very spacious and 5 adults and 3 children fit nicely. Very highly recommend. “We camped at Freedom Farm and enjoyed the secluded woods setting for our tent. Everything was clean and well prepared for our stay, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. It is beautifully situated and is a short drive from some excellent hiking and biking in nearby state parks. I think a couple of things, though, could be improved. The tent was set up on an incline, which made sleeping a bit less comfortable than it might have been. I would recommend that the hosts build a level platform……
