“The house is beautifully appointed with an incredible view of the lake ! The backyard was a perfect place to gather with family and have an amazing view. The owners are so responsive! Great beds and linens. Everything you need for a peaceful cozy oasis. ”

“We rented this place for the first time for a family gathering. The setting was very private and “country-ish”. For the most part everything listed was present at the place and there were enough sleeping options for our crew. Overall - the owners were nice and fairly responsive but there was a level of disappointment to the care of the property and more importantly the preparedness for our arrival. They said the pool and hot tub were cleaned and ready but the pool was still dirty and the hot tub……

“Four of us celebrating having or soon to turn 40. House was amazing - I understand some of the comments about the steep hill down to the water, but that did not stop us (use the driveway, don't go down the grass!). Communication with the host was fantastic, the house was in great shape, and there are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. nearby. We all agreed it's one of the best houses that we've rented. ”

“This cozy cottage is exactly as listed and so much more! It is very spacious inside and was immaculate. The hostess left us waters and snacks which was a nice touch when we arrived. The firepit was so nice to enjoy on a chilly night. The house was situated very close to White Memorial Conservation Center and to downtown Litchfield. It was simply perfect and we will definitely be back.”

There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and each 'area' of the house is incredibly comfortable (especially the movie theater). “We were not able to stay at the property but Katherine, the host, was very nice and responsive when we called for help. The email Vrbo sent with the directions to the property were not correct. It sent us to a totally different property in an entirely different location of the property we rented. We searched and searched from around 5:30 in the afternoon until about 7:30 but to no avail. It was a cold and rainy evening. We were giving up when Katherine contacted us and helped direct us to……

“We really enjoyed totally this Candlewood lake house. it has a fantastic view and a large, beautiful lawn with a fire pit. The owner was a pleasure to work with and she even allowed us to check in a few hours early.The house is fully stocked with everything we needed. The views are fabulous, but if you bring your own boat, the property is at the tip of the lake and the water can be a little rough from other boats going by. ”
