“We usually spend New Year's with family in LaCrosse. Family's recent move brought us to this part of town, and a VRBO with a yard for the dog seemed the best option. This house was perfect for our needs: room for everyone, beds for everyone, full kitchen with large refrigerator, within walking distance of family, large park nearby (although we only walked the dog there--too cold to play), fully fenced-in yard to let the dog out when returning late and again early in the morning when wanting to……

“This place is truly scary. We didn’t even get to stay here because of some “glitch” that they didn’t have our reservation in the system. But from the moment we drove into the lot it was obvious this place was super sketchy. Run down appearance from the outside. Wretched odor as you walk in the door. People there who didn’t seem to care at all about what was going on. ”

“We had our older kids up from out of town for a late Christmas. ( 6 adults, 2 children near 12, and two grandkids (6) and (4) months. The property was large enough to accommodate all of us. Clean, spacious and cute. Game room and games were a bonus. ”

“The house is perfect for a getaway with friends or family. It is very spacious with a large area for gathering to play games or just visit. The beds are very comfortable with nice linens. We were in town for a Bonspiel at the Centerville Curling Club. Wish we had more time to spend at the house. Make sure to check out The Station - Ma’s Kitchen in town for breakfast and coffee! SO GOOD!”

“We had such a great experience at the Whipporwill. The house has everything we could have needed. The owner was so good to us! We don’t know how many more years we will have my Mom so it was amazing to have her spend quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The view was so beautiful!”

“Beds were comfortable, linens were soft. Plenty of towels. We had 9 people stay and we had plenty of room. House is well lived in, and accessible for those with mobility issues. Fairly clean, strong air freshener smell if you are sensitive to smells it may not be a good fit for you. This home has plenty of parking space and deck space to hang out. Close to UWL, downtown area, and Onalaska shopping areas. ”
