“This was a wonderful home base for our first visit to Vermont. We’ve become avid hikers and nature lovers, so we wanted something a little off the beaten path but with all the creature comforts we needed to unwind after a 12 hour drive there and 12 hour hikes. The hosts were very accommodating, even leaving us a cooler with ice to help keep food cold since there’s only a mini fridge and we stayed 4 days. The property is beautiful and looks like the land around it, which I loved. We slept like……

We had 12 people and the home’s size afforded us all plenty of privacy. Great stove in kitchen. Plenty of firewood stacked. Off grid living was cool! No TVs! “The pictures of the property that we were staying in did NOT reflect the current conditions of the home. The house was attached to a motel no big deal but the access from the office of the motel came directly in the area where we were staying and we were unable to lock from our side. The house itself was in need of serious repairs! Peeling paint and wallpaper. Heat that didn’t work very well, no hot water. Half of us didn’t even shower while we were there (4 days).
