“we are so happy we found this spot! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They provided a list of recommendations for food and things to do, which was nice since it can be overwhelming with all the options. The breakfast was tasty and the burgers were delicious! There is live music some nights at the bar and the staff makes you feel like family. We liked it so much we came back to finish our last night in Costa Rica :) only downside is it can be loud as Tamarindo is becoming more of a party……

“Overall a great little spot. The staff are very friendly and the place is very clean. It's a 5 minute walk from all the action which is a good thing, generally being in a quieter area. I would have rated this a 5 except we did not learn about the construction next door until a few days before our visit, and construction started promptly at 6 AM each morning. The air conditioning in our unit (#1) was just passable at 24C and somewhat noisy when the condenser cut out (or maybe kicked in?). There……

“Shannon was an excellent host. Nice breakfast each morning sat above the pool area. Our bungalow was clean and comfortable with daily maid service. A few minutes walk to the lively town and beach where all the action of Tamarindo is going on. The pool was great to cool down and relax in the hammocks and day beds under the shade. The bungalows are an excellent small, homely oasis to chill out and escape the corporate world. We would stay again with Shannon and her lovely staff. ”

“Pretty remote location about two hours from the airport. Roads are horrible or non existent. Nice pool. Electricity was out for 8 hours with no generator. Nice breakfast every morning. A couple of decent restaurants in walking distance , nothing fancy but food was good . Lola’s right on the beach and Gregarios. Only a three minute walk to the beach. Hosts were friendly, welcoming and informative. ”

“We were only passing through for a night but this place was amazing! Vincent was super helpful with restaurant suggestions and there were a few great places within a 5 minute walking distance. The shower was huge and had hanging plants. very comfortable bed, and great pool...will definitely stay here again”

“We arrived late and just used this place to sleep before leaving from liberia early. The commons and location and staff were Great! Super friendly and sweet. The room was just a big open space for all 5 of us to share. The rate was good but taxes and fees tripled the price. Delicious free breakfast! ”

“I used this property as a jump off point after a long flight. Staff was very kind amd helpful. Great burger also.”

“The view from my room was beautiful! The room was perfect for a couple. I would give it a five stars rating if the bathroom didn’t smell like mold. I told the front desk; they said they would look into it; but nothing was done. In addition, the TV didn’t work on the third day that we were there. They could not fix it 😕 The construction noise started from 07am to 10 pm. There was only one road to get in and out of town. It was very very bumpy! Food was expensive at Las Catalinas and……
