“The house was very nice but I feel like the pictures showed the house out of context. It is located in a convenient area with close access to everything, but very close to other houses. Also the house, while being to sleep 12 people, was very small. The pictures led us to believe that we had a lot of room. Oh well, I can’t complain about the area though! It’s one of my favorite places in the world and we were with great people!”

“This property is a great place to stay for a ski trip to timberline. The house itself is a bit older and has some issues (water pressure low in the extreme cold for example) but overall was worth the price. The host, Dean, is great. There was a snow-caused leak in the ceiling of the living room, and the host was very fast to act on it and get a repairman out there (within 45 mins of contact). Overall, if you can deal with some “older” house problems, this is a great place to stay. ”

“Almost Heaven fit our group's needs by providing lodging for 14 of our 22 family in town as well as having a ramp to allow our wheelchair bound grandfather to participate in the outing. The Canaan Valley area is a must visit in the non-ski months to take in the amazing scenery, wildlife, and hiking options. The location was central to many activities for our group including Blackwater Falls State Park, Spruce Knob, Seneca Rocks and Caverns, the towns of Davis and Thomas, and Dolly Sods to just……

“We were a group of 11 and stayed at the house for a long weekend. Enough space for everybody. House was very well equipped and we had a great time there. Location is good for skiing or exploring the surroundings and hiking. There is a charcoal grill but probably an addition of a gas grill will be nice. We had a great time at the house!”

“We had a fantastic stay at Snolodge! Our family has been going to Canaan/Timberline for the last 50+ years. We have grown so much in number and we needed an additional house for everyone. Snolodge was perfect in both location and size. If you stay in the winter months you will need 4WD!! We will be returning!”
