“Check in was quick and easy. Everything was ready when we got there. The upstairs toilet sounds like it is going to take off but it worked. We loved sitting on the deck and seen a few deerbut no bear. May need deck re placed soon as well as picnic table. Grandsons wanted things to do beside TV but enjoyed playing cards in the evening. None of the items I mentioned kept us from having a great time. Would stay there again”

“What an amazing find! Easy access to Dolly Sods. The house was perfect for our friend group of 8 - everyone had their own room and (almost) own bathroom. Beautiful views, comfortable living room perfect for hanging out and playing games. The kitchen was well appointed which made breakfast and dinner easy!”

“The house is quite comfortable. The lighting is pretty dim in the living area. A few more lamps would be nice. The hot tube was a nice surprise I didn't notice in the write up. Not enough towels put out in the bunk room bath area, but I found some left in the dryer. Kitchen was supplied pretty well. Kitchen layout made it a little hard for more than two people to work in it at once. Bunk room beds might be fine for kids, but the adults sleeping on them found them a little uncomfortable. The……

“Do not overlook the warning about needing four-wheel-drive and snow chains. Our four-wheel-drive truck got stuck and needed a tow from a tow truck with four-wheel-drive and chains who was slipping on the driveway. We did park our extra car by the Guard house but that is a far walk if you come with one car. House is what you expect when looking for a place in the mountains. It was perfect to entertain 7 teenage boys in the basement. So close to timberline and great skiing. Loved the house. ”

“We booked a cabin in Harman, upon arrival the drive way was to steep and unsafe. We ended up backwards going down allegany mountain hitting the guardrail sliding all the way to bottom of the mountain backwards. The host refused to help us out, we drove all the way back to Elkins to get a hotel for the night. We emergently booked this cabin for the remainder of our stay. Cabin was warm and clean everything we hoped for and more. We usually use Vrbo but ”

“I love to rent a house that feels like a home and this one does. In addition, it is tucked away in a fantastic neighborhood with views and very easy access to fabulous hikes at Dolly Sods. The house is clean, very well stocked, and has a lot of amenities. The owners/managers (not sure who I was speaking with) were responsive and helpful. I would love to return again and again. ”
