“Small and cozy boutique hotel with 6 rooms. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful and made the stay an absolute delight. The lake view rooms are also amazing - the ones on the ground floor especially so as they have access to a little garden that was a great place to relax in the evening. Would wholeheartedly recommend this to any traveler. The only nit was that food took a really long time - they asked for a 1 hour heads up - but they were upfront about it and we were able to plan……

“This was our first stop in Sri Lanka for one night only and after a nightmare journey with flight cancellations, the staff very kindly allowed us to check in at 5am, which we greatly appreciated. The phone number for the hotel was wrong on Expedia so we struggled to get in touch with them to let them know about our late arrival however our driver was able to contact them for us - so just make sure you’ve got the right contact details in case you need them! The hotel is lovely and we were sad not……

“The hotel is like a small one but very warm. I arrived at 2030 at night and they were already closing the restaurant. When they knew I haven't have dinner yet, they (only the owner and a staff) insisted to make a dinner for me freshly. Although it took them quite a while, their passion and heart to service the guest were really great. I was travelling alone and they stayed until like 10 to make my dinner and waited until I finish before they go.”

“The opportunity to stay in a villa surrounded by tea fields was too hard to miss out on. We arrived from Badula on the train and were welcomed by the staff at the house. It was clean and comfortable and a 15 minute walk into town. The next morning we were given a great breakfast and then walked into the tea field adjoining the property. We watched the local women picking and sorting tea leaves. Certainly an authentic experience as we were in their backyard. The staff we very helpful in……

“The Grand Argyle Resort & Villas was a beautiful location. Our room was very clean and spacious. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely kind and accommodating. There was a pool table located upstairs and an outdoor pool, however, it was not clean enough to enter. We did enjoy walking around the property and site seeing. The area offers spectacular views! I would recommend this hotel to others! ”
