“One of the best VRBO experiences we have ever had! The home was as described, generous amenities, well stocked, kitchen. Cleanliness is important to us-5 star rating! “We enjoyed our stay at the Birdhouse Lodge. It was quiet, cozy and had a great view of nature. The road to get there was steep and bumpy but my Prius handled it (in June, no snow). The main bed was too soft, but without the foam topper it was just right for us. The listing is accurate except that there are now FOUR TVs and nice chairs around the firepit. If you plan to cook, bring a few things (hot mitts, aluminum foil, etc). Other reviews are right about the extremely low water pressure. That……

“The house was clean and as advertised. It was a short drive to all deep creek has to offer. The only suggestion I have is to add a hook on the inside of the bathroom doors for additional places to hang your towels. Overall would recommend! ”

Upper and lower bedrooms via spiral staircase may be difficult for people with mobilities or with really small children, but it was perfect for us. Walk to excellent pizza at Brenda’s and coffeeshop! Beautiful view of lake from deck with functional gas fire table to enjoy cool evenings. Eleni was very responsive and accommodating- great to work with!”
