“It is a nice, well located hotel. Rooms are big and have AC, the only thing is the bed which was not comfortable at all, it was a hard bed, and no hair dryer 😅, but overall was a good option, they have a pool, and a kitchen, even a roof top which offered a bar during the evenings...”

“25 mins walk from ADO, 16 mins walk from plaza. Room is clean but on the lobby floor that will be noisy in the morning. Do not buy local tour with them, they overpriced, street agent 200 Peso, they charged 300. It is first time, hostel charges the luggage storage, 25peso after 6 pm.😞 a lady can’t speck English always with long face and not helpful. The other lady who can speak English is nice person”

“El lugar en áreas comunes es super lindo, y a pesar de que la ubicacion es retirada de la playa es muy sencillo llegar (solo que esta un poco oculta , les falta señaletica o anuncios o algun letrero para dar mejor con el espacio.) Pero la habitacion da mucho que desear, el aire sonaba y se trababa toda la noche, la regadera moja el excusado, las toallas son miniaturas y un poco secas y tiesas, y no sabiamos que habia actividades nocturnas en el espacio el ruido no nos lo esperabamos dentro del……

“What I liked most about this hostal is that it attracts all sorts of friendly people from around thw world and that thye hodt an event pretty much each day, keeping you engaged in the community. The staff are super friendly and even join on the daily events. The shared dormitories have slightly uncomfortable beds, but all of the facilites you need are there (locker, shower, and the like. “Die Lage ist klasse, etwas abseits und trotzdem in Laufnähe zum Zentrum (ca. 20 min), dafür ruhiger. In einem Viertel mit vielen Murales, Bars und Kunst, einen Katzensprung vom Bus Terminal 1. und 2. Klasse. Es gibt nicht viele Bäder/WCs, Geduld ist gefragt. Zimmer sind nicht sehr sehr funktional und einfach aber durchaus ok.”

“I cannot recommend Ginger Banana enough! The hostel is nice and centrally located. The space is calm, clean, and cute.The space was great, but the best part of Ginger Banana was the people! The staff seriously went above and beyond to help me navigate the city/find tours and make me feel welcome. They helped me feel comfortable and taken care of as a solo traveler. If you’re looking to visit Oaxaca City, definitely stay here.”
