“We are so pleased to have discovered this little gem. From arrival at this charming village pub, the staff (and locals) were friendly and helpful, happy to give local info (restaurants, buses etc). We were shown our room which was one of 4 terraced bungalows, purpose built at the bottom of the pub garden so away from the pub, secluded with shrubbery and hedge and quiet. Perfectly adequately sized for 2 people, furniture of good quality. A lovely comfy super king size bed with crisp cotton……

“A perfect stay - friendly welcoming staff, well equipped room with hugh fluffy towels and a comfortable bed. Amazing dinner menu at affordable prices, good breakfast selection. The hotel is updated, the grounds are immaculate. Decor in the dining area an bars is bright, modern and comfortable. Internet had a few hiccups, and desk in room was a little small but, aside from this we would return in a heartbeat.”

“The property is good in general, a good place for chilling and relaxing. However, the lady in the reception’s attitude is bad to me. She arranged the room to me which is too far away which poor (almost nothing) WiFi access, and she said I have to find the router by myself and reset it (which I don’t think it’s my responsibility to do so). Also the room has no laundry bag and she insisted there is one in the cabinet. One of the lamp was not workable in the room too. Eventually I insisted I do not……

“Friendly staff in this hotel, food excellent and varied. Lovely big bedroom, comfy beds with vintage furniture, bathroom could do with a bit of a makeover. Superb view looking over the river with the swans and ducks. No lift in the hotel so I did struggle with the stairs.”
