“House is cozy, clean, thoughtfully appointed, and as described, and within a short drive to wineries, Elkin, and hiking. Owner is very responsive. Property is serene next to the river and tucked back behind trees from the road. We went back and forth from heat to air due to varied temperatures and were always quite comfortable. “Comfortable mountain farmhouse that met our needs perfectly. Great snow and private without being too far off a good road.”

“It was a nice stay and very unique. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The photos make the place look a bit newer than it is which was fine but we were expecting the place to be much more updated than it was. It still was great and really cozy. Our dog liked the area to run around and the neighbors were very far so it was private and quiet. We liked the smores but there were no smores sticks so we had to go get those which the store is pretty close so no biggie.……

“We loved our long weekend and this beautiful, clean, organized cottage. We appreciated the extra touches like the labels on light switches and cabinets, the soft towels and bathroom rugs, throw blankets near the couches, and even USB charging ports on master bedroom nightstands. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The kids loved the hot tub, playing air hockey, and the board games. “Nice, comfortable, cozy cabin with beautiful views/deck with comfy furniture. Communication & checkin great. We had frustration driving out of & back to the cabin when visiting local towns. (Mason Jar, Hillsville, very good, crabcakes, cod sandwich yummy!)GPS & other sources helped, but there was a lot of rerouting & changes in directions as we traveled the winding roads. If there longer, maybe we’d figure things out better.If a wine drinker, pack a good wine opener. Kitchen is very well……

“Beautiful cabin near river. Very backwoods. Recommend truck because road is mostly gravel for a couple of miles. No cell service outside of cabin. Food, gas, and supplies several miles away (at least 15-20 mins). Grill had missing air vent on bottom causing sparks to come out a lot. Owner is super responsive! Jetted tub is nice. ”
