“The hotel is just as pictured - gorgeous views from everywhere on the property. The staff were lovely - friendly, always wanting to help, etc. The room was very comfortable and close to everything. As we were both somewhat unwell when we arrived, we would have liked a few more basic options on the dinner menu as our appetites were not there and it was difficult to find simple food that we felt we could handle. Otherwise a perfect stay!”

“Lovely stay. Excellent food. Nice rooms and comfortable bed. Pool could do with a clean as it turned any white swimwear green. However pool was great and a lovely kids splash pool and slide. Wonderful staff. Excellent location on the beach. Slightly tiresome attitude of other guests out at dawn with towels to reserve sunloungers however loungers are plentiful and staff can assist. We travelled with two small children so would have benefitted from more sun umbrellas for shade. Bring a sun……

“Retro Boutique is a great, small hotel near Diani Beach. I stayed in the deluxe double room on the top floor, and I was amazed at how large my room was. Most if not all the rooms have a balcony, but my room had two balconies. One in the front of the room and one in the back of the room. The water pressure in the bathroom was good, the A/C was cold, and the wifi was fast. My bed also had a mosquito net, but I don't think it was necessary. Also, the breakfast was delicious and it was a hefty……

“Boxo might be more suitable for travellers who are looking for very basic place for stay. Keep in mind that it is literally a sea container turned into a tiny room. One thing I was very upset during the breakfast is that only 1 cup of coffee is included (which unfortunately tasted quite flat). In the main restaurant served food way so-so. Quite didn’t enjoyed a food there. However, staff is very friendly and nice. ”

“As a single female on crutches they were very accommodating. The breakfast buffet what phenomenal and delicious. The facilities are great and the sea view is worth the extra costs. ”
