“An absolute pearl on the Kenyan coast. The location is quite and beautiful, with professional and super friendly staff and management. The food was amazing and served in wonderful atmosphere. “The Penthouse is a blissful experience and if you need anything Gilbert will ensure your get it. We asked if he could get us snapper and vegetables for dinner and he organised for it to be delivered and grilled for us by an onsite chief. It was delicious 10/10 and we could continue our holiday without worrying about food. Swahili house is everything we were looking for, Diani beach experience but more peacful without the crowds. “Great place to stay. I liked the food and the staff, very friendly. However, the local vendors can be a little aggressive and intimidating. They had events nightly on the resort so really no need to leave resort. Ran into some minor issue with Wi-Fi and room selections. Overall I would definitely return, minus the bees and flies. ”

“Clean, modern and comfortable but is basic accommodation with a number of failings: poor shower, rooms are lit up by corridor lighting at night so impedes sleep, there are no room facilities (cups, coffee, etc) and internal floors can be very slippy under foot after rainfall (but expect rains!). Staff are friendly and polite which helps on any stay.”

“I don't usually write reviews because I don't like to waste my time online too much but this will be my first review in Expedia. I fell in love with Mombasa, Kenya and this was my second time visit within two months time frame. We got there around 2am due to the late flight schedule. “Es ist soweit sauber, Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gut gesichert. Reinigungspersonal sollte mehr Tools erhalten, Boden musste sie steinzeitlich auf Knien von Hand reinigen, das sollte mal geändert werden. Pool etwas salzig aber sehr sauber. Ein Tipp für das Management: mit ein kleinen Bär am Pool das bei Hochzeiten geöffnet ist könnte noch etwas Geld dazuverdienen werden 😉”

“This resort was the most Magical and Peaceful place I've ever stayed. The staff deserves a raise because of how attentive and nice they were. The breakfast was so delicious and there was endless options to choose from. I enjoyed my stay so much I didn't want to leave the property. The only suggestion I would have is to offer dessert on their menu. But I would recommend Tombo House to anyway who wants to enjoy nature and wants to get away from the boring ambience of chain hotels.”

“The hotel is just as pictured - gorgeous views from everywhere on the property. The staff were lovely - friendly, always wanting to help, etc. The room was very comfortable and close to everything. As we were both somewhat unwell when we arrived, we would have liked a few more basic options on the dinner menu as our appetites were not there and it was difficult to find simple food that we felt we could handle. Otherwise a perfect stay!”

“I feel I was misled by the photos. We were in a different building than what I thought from the main photos. The building is in need of repairs. We experienced, wifi outage - including a message when we tried to connect that the account was suspended for non payment. We were without water for an afternoon, the ac in the bedroom was not working. I have photos I can share showing the poor condition, including one of windows with boards over them presumably because the glass was broken. Paying over……
