This hotel is nestled in the middle of Historic Downtown Manistee, about 50 minutes from Sleepy Bear Dunes. This hotel can be termed casual, laid-back. The rooms are roomy, well decorated as you see in the pictures, and very comfortable. There is a chocolate and ice cream shop next door. “I loved the proximity of the lake to our room. I do not know why we were given an accessible room that had handicapped parking in front. I made the mistake of parking in one and was confronted by the guest above me. She warned me it was a handicapped spot and that her inlaws needed that space. I moved my car. Other patrons parked there and did not have handicapped placard. I do not think the paint is bright enough to see. I feel terrible for taking a spot that i shouldnt have been in. I made……
