“The front desk staff was so nice and accommodating! We checked in at 2am and the staff member was very friendly. He even noticed that we had trouble with our key as he saw us on the cameras and before I could even go back downstairs, he was running down the hall with a new key for us. We needed a late checkout and the staff member the following day was very accommodating and helped us out with no extra charge. We loved our stay here and would stay here again! ”

“We had to stop here unexpectedly due to a storm and ended up checking in very late (2am). The staff was very kind during our arrival! The hotel was clean and quiet. We also really appreciated the continental breakfast! ”

“My grandson and I very much enjoyed our stay at Charles City. Our first morning we got up so late we missed the breakfast. The next morning, we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel has a high standard of cleanliness. Our room was wonderful. The public areas are very well-kept, and the breakfast area looked terrific. It was also great to have staff members acknowledge us. Many of the hotel's associates would converse with us as if we knew one another for years. It was good to feel so……

“The hosts, Judy and Dale, are fantastic! We enjoyed talking with them the evening that we arrived, and hearing the history of how Cupola Inn B & B came to be, almost 28 years ago! The breakfast that Judy made for us in the morning was delicious. We chose to eat it, family style, with the other guests in the Round Barn, which was another fun experience! We would have also loved to float down part of the Winnebago River with Dale during our stay, but unfortunately the river was too high and fast……

“The only thing was that the pancake machine was not dialed in so they were under done and gummy. Fresh fruit was a welcome addition and the size of the milk was great not having to pour it out of a pitcher was nice too. Staff was friendly and courteous. ”

“Never ever take this hotel.....it's the most disgusting hotel that we ever stay before!! I even got itching after sat on the couch! By the way, we'ad booked for 4 nights for 2 rooms , but the front desk sent us an invoice and asked us to check-out (paid everything upfront)on the 4th morning; although we're more than happy to leave it, but who is going to return me the difference?”
