“The house is a good place to stay if you need ample room and want a quiet retreat in Saranac Lake. Its not on the water but within a short drive of downtown and the lakes. If you have mobility issues this isn’t the place for you as the stairs to the second floor are very steep and there are floor level changes. The house manager should, I think, mark the floor level changes with bright tape because it takes a while to remember where they are. The house is pleasant and cosy and we enjoyed staying……

“Perfect home for a couple of friends, maybe 3, to explore the Lake Placid area. Only 20-30 minutes from great hikes, Whiteface, John Brown Farm, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Lake Saranac. A short walk to ice cream, pizza, and just a little farther to downtown LP. Host was very responsive and home is sufficiently equipped. My friend and I had a very nice stay.”

Whether you're cozying up by the outdoor fire pit or gazing at the stars (or even meteors!) under the dark sky, it's the perfect place to relax and unwind. “Moreno's Cottages are a pleasant series of little cabins between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. My brother and I stayed in #7. There were two twin beds, a nook and a small, separate kitchen area. It was rustic, but modern enough to feel like you had a place to relax after a hike. We did have some problems getting in, but Todd was super accommodating and had backup codes for us to use. There are picnic benches and grills behind the house in the open area. The property is easily accessible off the……

“We stayed at the”Blackhaus” January 19-23. The house was perfect for our 3 teenage boys and my wife and I. It is a bit off the road which offers serenity and peace. The house is well appointed and met all of our needs. It is located just about 8 minutes from whiteface ski resort and about 22 minutes to lake placid. I Will definitely stay here again. ”

“We decided last minute to take a mini vacation hiking near Lake Placid. GO Cottage was a perfect lodging choice for us. It was comfortable, clean quiet, and stocked with everything we could need. We spent most of our time hiking and visiting downtown . We couldn’t have asked for a more convenient and comfortable place to return to. We did cook dinner two nights and found the kitchen had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here when we come again. ”
