“Very clean and comfortable cottage in a beautiful setting ”

“This was a captivating setting. If we were to stay there for a few days, it would have been delightful. As it was, we were driving back from Acadia NP. We just weren’t prudent. We were up for indoor camping and maybe even the wood stove, but elected not to stay after arriving after dark…totally our choice. Another time, it would have been PERFECT. ”

“We only had 3 days to visit the area. Our stay was very comfortable and convenient to Bar Harbor. We could walk the mile to town. Which was easier than trying to park dow there! Close to the entry to Acadia. Also appreciated the breakfast delivered to the room each morning. Everyone we ran across was very friendly.”

“The cabin was very nice. It was off the road, so no road noise. It was esthetically nice as a well-built traditional carpentry pine cabin throughout. Well equipped kitchen. Nice screened in porch. Very clean. I would return if going back to Arcadia. It is a little ways to Bar Harbor and southern end of the island but well located to other hiking. We loved it. ”

“This house was wonderful! Clean, easy to find on GPS, even in the dark when we arrived and a very quiet location. The view was beautiful. We saw deer in the backyard and across the lake. We utilized the fire pit on a cool night and enjoyed s’mores with our family. The small touches were thoughtful-mini bottles of shampoo & conditioner, mini bars of soap, coffee available for the coffee maker. Beds were comfortable as well. If we’re ever back in this area, I would definitely stay here again. ”

“Listing says it’s walkable, but it’s probably a good 20 minute walk and it’s not ideal with kids because of traffic once you get into Acadia. It is a short drive to Jordan pond house though. Our mattress was from 2007 and we did not sleep good at all because of it. Not enough seats for 4 to relax in living room after a long day of hiking either. Very responsive host so that was a positive.”

“We stayed here for a long weekend in October with our 3 kids (9, 7 and 4) and my parents. Location was great, close to Bar Harbor but far enough to feel in the woods. Fireplace wasn’t working but owner responded quickly with extra space heaters for us. ”

“We found this hidden gem by chance when looking for a quiet oceanfront place to stay with our family and dog. Home was as advertised and we immediatwly wished we booked a third night. Clean, quiet and right at the waters edge.”

“My family of 4 and dog enjoyed staying here. The house was a bit dated but that added to the charm. The scenery is gorgeous from most of the rooms (if you are exploring the neighborhood please stay off the land across the street -it's private property!) The location was ~45 minutes from Acadia National Park and 10-15 minutes from Ellsworth. Check-in was easy and Jamie was a great host. ”

“I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Bar Harbor Manor. From check in to check out, my experience was very enjoyable. Christopher and Constance are not only very professional but are also extremely knowledgeable of the area and took the time to explain options for me while discovering Acadia. The location of the property is very convenient. I could walk with ease into the downtown area, which offered many dining options, even while it is still offseason.
