“My wife and I stayed at the Kunken Lodge along our travels around the beautiful country of Costa Rica. The property grounds are picturesque and perfectly manicured, the food was delicious, and Elian and Pierre were amazing hosts that went above and beyond to make sure everything about our stay was perfect. “Beautiful rainforest property with good birding opportunity, birds song, cicadas, and frogs, but "touristy", so the natural vibe gets ruined. It seems they cater to tour groups, so not very private or queit. Have to pay for 3 meals a day but on their schedule that's too late for serious birding and not as healthy as I'd prefer. I travel solo and do not enjoy sitting by myself or wasting time I could be out finding birds sitting in a restaurant. I go ut birding before daybreak so, lunch as late……
