“Our stay at the four bedroom log cabin was wonderful. We were in town for my son’s graduation from VT and this house was perfect for our family. The kitchen was great and well stocked, the beds comfortable, the bathrooms were very nice! Loved the large outdoor deck with a huge wrap around couch. We enjoyed eating dinner outside on the deck! Two nice areas to congregate with ample seating, one upstairs and one downstairs. The proximity to VT was very convenient, about a 10 minute drive. Very……

“We were traveling into the area to attend the Virginia Tech commencement ceremonies. This was a fantastic find. Close enough to attend the events, but far enough to avoid the congestion in Blacksburg during this busy time of the year. When our usual dog sitter was unavailable, this allowed us to bring them along with us and they settled right in as well. We loved everything about the location and would highly recommend it to anyone considering traveling to the area. ”

“This cabin in the lake is a gem. It’s everything you need and super well equipped and organized. The owner was very responsive. It’s a beauty on the lake with a private dock, a beautiful back porch overlooking the lake, a picnic/grill area with table and chairs also overlooking the lake. It was 25 minutes from Tech, so very convenient. ”

“We had a wonderful time at Dogwood Hollow. The house and property are beautiful. The house has everything you need for a wonderful getaway- games, baby furniture, kayaks, fishing rods, a lending library, every kitchen gadget that you will need and a wonderful children’s loft with a teepee! “We initially chose this property because it was a halfway meeting point for three couples. The accommodations exceeded expectations. The layout of the living room and kitchen provided a nice flow for all to hangout. We brought kayaks and bikes and spent time exploring the river as well as the local trails. We even brought our cat who enjoyed sitting on the porch and window sills. The only thing we wish we could change was the size of the two first floor bedrooms. A little small but not a deal……

“We arrived later in the evening than we had hoped. It was dark so we could not fully appreciate the beauty around us until morning. The camper was cozy and immaculate: Everything we could possibly need. Temps had dipped and they had it nice and warm for us. This was our first time EVER staying in a camper. Pleasantly impressed. “Easy access to shopping and grocery store. Comfortable surroundings. Beautiful nature and lots of birdsong. The chickens free ranging on the property is a plus. Love it! Highly recommend for small group of adults and maybe school age children. We were three adults. The bunk bed is a bit tricky on the top bunk for an adult. The queen bed is very comfortable.”
