“Overall, great stay!!! Pre-stay communication was spot-on with the info provided. Not that the hosts could do anything about it, but the weather was spectacular. Proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway is outstanding. The cabin itself is well appointed and cozy. It has a great variety of kitchen ware, I did not need anything extra with a 3 night stay and making all my food there at the cabin. The bed was so comfortable (downstairs) and the tub was a treat. Would 100% stay again”

“Clean and very confrontable everything you need for you and your dog. We maintained and in a nice area. Beautiful views from the back deck. Check in through Vrbo was a little slow do to the fact that we were traveling and getting emails reading codes and driving doesn't work. Other than that everything was perfect. ”

“The cabin is quite large, large enough for 3 children, ages 11, 9 and 4 and 4 adults so that everyone had their own space! The lake proximity is perfect and the highlight of the weekend was kayaking. There were 4 but we could have used one more so we could all go out together. There were life jackets! The youngest loved the hot tub and it was clean! The kitchen was well-equipped. The beds were comfortable. We would return again! ”

“We stayed here before we dropped our son off at Virginia tech. Great place to stay! Clean, beautiful lodging with bonus hiking trails, fishing, zip lines and Silus the dog! ”

“This is a beautiful cabin, as advertised, gorgeous area, total and complete seclusion, yet close enough to anything you need. My fiancée and I stayed there for a long holiday weekend, and took in the Aurigid meteor shower, with a front row seat that you literally have to see to believe. I have seen multiple meteor showers in my life, but absolutely nothing compares to the vantage point of this cabin. Hikes, nature, roaring fires every night, romance, it is absolute paradise. The worst part……

“Magnificent. We keep coming back and get something different of an experience in each season. Can’t recommend it or the hosts enough. We’ll be back!”

“Everything was exactly as depicted on the house listing. What you don’t see is the peaceful setting of this gem. The stream that runs right by the house is a little surprise of added relaxation. The only note we had was the coffee maker situation. We are traditional brewed coffee drinkers but the Keurig w/available pods was a good alternative. We were in town for the home opener of the VT football season. Easy to get to and from on a busy weekend. We will be back. ”

“The cabin is very nice, clean and beautiful location. Inside was very nice. It is a bit of a walk with luggage from the parking area to the cabin. Perhaps the owner could invest in a cart of some sort to help with this, especially for older clients.”

“Owner / host was simply fantastic. The home was perfect for us. ”

“Our stay at the remote cabin was enjoyable and comfortable. The amenities furnished helped make our stay relaxing. There was nothing lacking. We woke to a chilly 38 degrees outside but the cabin was warm. Pat is a fine host! Glad we had a truck to cross the small stream on our way up to the cabin.”
