“Overall the stay was nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant. And, the whole property needs to be completely renovated. There is evidence on the ceiling of a prior leak in the main room and the bathroom. The refrigerator didn’t work. There was no desk or chair. And no WiFi. The door locked but didn’t seem secure enough to stop any potential robber.”

“I was unaware of the $100 deposit nd was unable to get the room..the only way to avoid the deposit is paying the full price upfront in cash and the lady at the desk was very rude about everything and constantly kept asking if I had a dog as if that was the only thing she was concerned about. “Beautiful and comfortable historic house! Enjoyed staying in the Reynolds Loft -- that soak in the claw-foot tub made my evening! Gorgeous landscaping and lots of places to just hang out and enjoy beautiful spring weather. Some of the area's best restaurants are just a block away. We were able to walk up Fourth Street toward Trade and window shop the Arts District. Great breweries a mile away (still walkable) and Tate's Cocktails is a great place for a drink and live jazz on Tuesdays. We love……

“If you are ready to be pampered in the most lovely, historic setting then the Zevely Inn is for you! Our room was cozy and the made-from-stratch breakfasts served by the innkeeper absolutely delicious! And she was delightful, so welcoming and full of stories, but still giving us privacy to soak in every morsel of Old Salem charm in the home owned by Dr. Zevely. “We like the historical nature of the property. Did not mind at all that the bathroom was down the hall and the creaky nature of the old building. But... It would have been nice to have some tissues in the room. Also, we think you should present the rooms as NOT having TV service (bring a book) rather than what was a frustrating time finding a channel and keeping service.”

“The hotel quality does not match the price at all, about 600dollar per night, but the quality of the hotel facilities, such as the bed and shower room design, is horrible; there is no door for the shower, and the water was splashed outside when you are taking a shower and you feel cold too. The shower head is high and you have to raise your head to avoild your hair wet. For example, the desk light was broken. Furnitures are old... Never come again.”
