“The ONLY complaint we had was the 3 flights of stairs which we knew about ahead of time but didn’t make it any easier on the over 60 folks carrying up luggage and supplies. “The cabin was roomy and comfortable, The woods were great. AC was good and kept us comfortable. The check-in process was weird. We had to fax a copy of a driver's license and a selfie in order to get the door code. This is unnecessary since we had already guaranteed a non-refundable payment via credit card. I have never experienced this before. We gave a low overall rating because the owner/booking agent contacted us and said the water was not-potable. This is not good. Luckily, we had brought……

“Property managers responded to emails quickly. The property had everything we needed. Really liked the coat hooks placed around in the different rooms. Would definitely stay again if we go back to go skiing.”

“We arrived late at night in the rain, and although the directions had told me there was a keyless entry, the key box by the front door threw me off, and we struggled with that for a minute before I remembered the email. lol Removing that might be a good idea. The cabin was clean, but we did have to contact the owner for more towels, because there were only 2 for 3 adults, and there were only sheets for the pullout couch/bed, no blanket. “My wife, myself and our dog stayed for one night on our annual trip from Michigan to North Carolina. We absolutely love the New River Gorge area, so we always book a night somewhere in the area around Hinton. Many of the available rentals in the area are very near to the train tracks.
