“The cabinas were excellent, the staff is very friendly and helpful ”

“Without Google we would have had a hard time finding it! In our room there was a shrieking noise which we assume was from the water system - it seemed to be connected to the toilet which sometimes did not flush well. We reported it at the desk when we left - really just a minor concern. Overall we had a very pleasant stay there. Liked the restaurant having tables on the beach - shades of "Death in Paradise" on the TV!”

“We had an amazing time at El Encanto. Our room was comfortable and well outfitted, breakfast (and dinner) was tasty, the pools were great and the service was helpful and friendly. Our unexpected favorite part of the experience was the nature you could see from within the hotel walls - sloths (2)!, monkeys, frogs, iguanas and lots of birds. A great combo of luxury and nature. ”

“Nice hotel with good breakfast. The staff was friendly. Good parking possibilities. The only negative was that they did not serve any food (except breakfast) and that the roof made a lot of noise when it was raining (there are some kind of plastic protection on the roof of the room which make the rain sound a lot, hard to sleep without earplugs). ”

“We enjoyed our very short stay at La Bonita Lodge. Unfortunately the airline lost our luggage so we spent most of our day in San Jose buying clothes before heading down to Puerto Viejo. We arrived late but had a nice dinner at Banana Azul and then were able to use the easy to follow directions to gain access to the property and our room. The room was spotless and welcoming. We weren't able to park our car in the lot as it was full but after contacting the host we were told it was fine to park on……
