“Nice cabin - had everything we were looking for. Used both the exterior fire pit and interior fire place. 4 bedrooms made it feel more spacious and accommodating. Only a 5 min drive to downtown Saugatuck. ”

“The rating is for the Overlook Cottage. We were switched from the Dune Buggy Cottage by the host because it was double booked. It turned out great. The Overlook is a bit bigger and charming and has a better view. Photos don’t show steep climb and close neighbors.”

“I traveled with hubby, sister & my elderly parents for a long weekend and to attend a wedding reception. The cabin was absolutely perfect. Everyone had a quiet & comfortable space of their own. We could have definitely had more people due to the spacious accommodations. .The setting is such so that you want to sit out on the front porch or back screened in porch (or fire pit area) and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings, trees & birds or walk down to the lake. “This is an amazing property to stay in. Loved the close proximity to Saugatuck and Douglas, yet just on the outskirts of town to enjoy the peace and quiet as well! Also well appointed if you are traveling with children and/or infants. The only drawback was that we were told there was a two car maximum per HOA guidelines. “As billed, it's a rustic cabin! Beautiful location right on a bend of the Kalamazoo River. Very close to Fennville and Saugatuck (7 and 15 minutes, respectively). The cabin itself, as has been mentioned in other reviews, is very bare bones and shows its age a little in places, but we found it to be clean and stocked with the necessaries. Probably wouldn't want to spend a rainy day cooped up in there but we lucked out with weather and spent the majority of our stay outside enjoying the scenic……

“This is a charming cottage with all the necessary modern amenities for a lovely stay in Douglas. It is extremely close to water/public beach access and is tucked away in the quiet woods. We enjoyed the screened in porch where we sat and listened to squirrels and wildlife. Highly recommend for a cozy getaway. ”
