“Position great facilities good owners and staff very good and helpful. The food was wonderful. Able to show flexibility at short notice. Would have no hesitation in recommending the inn. We will happily stay again.”
“The lady on reception called Wendy is just so wonderful, she spoilt our dogs! She was so kind and her service brilliant.
We stayed with our dogs. It’s a £20 surcharge per night for dogs. Grounds are lovely. Lovely walk to the river from the hotel. Breakfast was great. Two pubs nearby to eat at, the red lion (great old pub food) or the waterfront Inn by the river which has gorgeous views. You need to park up the road and walk down.
The bedrooms and bathroom are a bit dated , but the……
“Really enjoyed staying here - I booked the cheapest room and it was still immaculate and really nice to be in. Staff really friendly, breakfast lovely and the pub by the sea is a great bonus. Good location - walked from the train station in 20 minutes.”
“This is my third stay at Gallen Treath and I always get a warm welcome. Nothing is too much trouble from the hosts. It suits me perfectly. Room is clean and a great range of breakfast options. ”
“Our room has the best view looking out to the beautiful Gyllngvase Beach and it is just around 8 mins walk to it. Nice breakfast and staff, room is clean and have everything you need. Town centre is also within walking distance.”
“Stayed on business, had a great room, comfy bed, curtains which meant the room could be in the dark (not always a given). No road noise despite room being at the front. Breakfast very decent but not early enough for me starting at 7:30am would work for most people though I guess. shower worked well, toiletries provided - overall a great stay”
“I loved staying at Jacob's Ladder. The rooms are gorgeous and the owners are fabulous. You can walk all over Falmouth from this location. The pub is fun and family friendly. The food is great. My room was very quiet. I'll definitely stay here again!! ”
“Nice sea view from sea-facing rooms.
There was scaffolding, which obscured the view of some of the inland-facing rooms.
Pool / sauna are great. Pool has a shallow area sectioned off for kids. There's a small gym too.
Many car park spaces were infinged by excess vegetation or skip. A couple of spaces not really accessible due to the center of a 'mini roundabout'.
Two EV chargers available via some app (didn't use them).”
“The Lerryn is a family-run hotel with all that entails, both positive and negative. And there is a lot to like. The hotel is clean, fresh and modern (a substantial revamp in 2014, I believe) with few rough edges. The room had a homely quality that you won't find in a corporate behemoth, and any minor signs of wear were perfectly acceptable. The bed was comfy, the furniture perfectly functional, and the cleaning was excellent. Downstairs, the honesty-based bar was refreshing, and the dining room……
“Everything is perfect. Staffs here are sincere, kind & considerate. They called taxi for me, texting me when it will be closed when I was staying out. Very enthusiastic to give me advice on my further trips. Best experience in B&B.”
“Good location and good food. Lovely room. Welcome a bit so and so. Kitchen staff more welcoming than the reception staff who, to be fair, were also manning the bar (although the bar wasn't overly busy when we arrived). ”
“beautiful hotel, the grounds are so relaxing, and so many different areas to sit.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Having pool and gym facilities on site was great.
30 second walk and you are on the beach. ”
“Lovely setting and quieter than central Falmouth. We had a nice sea facing room, which was spacious. It was good to have access to the pool, sauna and gym. It is an old property, so some aspects are a little tired. That being said, I would definitely stay there again. It was great value. ”
