“Check-in was a bit quirky, but the location is great with a beautiful backdrop. Note: there's no AC, so it was a little warm at night. We briefly didn't have hot water and stove gas, but it was fixed within an hour. Overall, I’d recommend this place. ”

“Kelly is a very nice and easygoing host. She made tasty breakfast every morning. Her place is equipped with almost all you need for travel. ”

“The on site staff was qmazing and kind. Highly detailed and did his job very well. If i visit the big island again i will be staying at this rental again partly due to the staff. ”

“Guesthouse was very much as shown: community spaces for bathrooms and cooking etc. and the location was great, very close to Akaka Falls yet outside of town enough to enjoy slowing down. Found great shaved ice at the Aloha General Store. We stayed in the king bed room, which was clean and mostly comfortable, but gets baked in the sun from sunrise. The room was very hot and could use a ceiling fan, the small one provided barely worked to cool the large room… and having the windows open meant……

“Really good location and very clean room. Only complaint is the windows are not well sealed so you can hear the traffic on the street. Also you can hear sounds from next door very clearly... The owner did provide earplugs but I feel it doesn't necessarily work for everybody.”
