“Our room had a rooftop patio which was great for winding down after a day at the beach. Very good local taverna options. Local beach is organized and sandy (no water shoes needed) with warm waters. Some good snorkeling for the kids. Great pool too.”

“The property is as described and the photos were accurate. The massive downside which made us not recommending the property was the misleading “breakfast vouchers”. You receive every day a voucher that can be used in the tavern next door which offers a breakfast buffet. What was not explained and we got surprised during checkout is that breakfast is 15€ per person per day. So 30€ for a boiled egg, cheese, Greek yogurt and OJ from concentrate. “A hotel worth much more than two stars I would rate it at least three if not four stars The staff is lovely, Shontei, Hargiro, Nina, (I hope I wrote the names correctly) take care of you as a guest so that you will simply have a good time. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the hotel staff is quick to fix any problem. The view from the quiet private balcony is stunning in its beauty, the proximity to the most beautiful beach in the area, a 2-minute walk away, is worth it all. Coffee is free……

“5 stars! The Elea Mare is a fabulous value in an authentic Greek coastal village, run by a host (Greg) who personifies customer care. We can’t praise him enough for the warmth of his interactions with us! As an example, our young-adult daughter became mildly sick during our stay, and Greg provided tea and offered to check up on her when we left her in the hotel by herself for half a day. The hotel is a short walk from a small beach and town harbor and near several excellent dining options.……

“This is one of the best hotels I have *ever* stayed at. Beautiful rooms at a historic hotel in the middle of an olive orchard, a 15 minute drive from Monemvasia. The manager came out to meet us when we parked, knew who we were and brought us to the room prior to my coming to check in. The included breakfast the next morning was fantastic, huge variety of freshly prepared foods. Incredible experience, thank you!”
