“Umami was such a wonderful boutique hotel. The staff was so awesome and giving. The hotel itself was perfect for my solo trip. The middle of town and a short walk to the beach or several restaurants and markets. I especially liked the fact that you could interact with locals and not only tourists and it was only a tuk tuk ride away to really nice beaches further down the coast. So looking ready for my return to CR and will def be staying here!”

“The staff were very friendly and it's very centrally located. but this was the scariest hostel I've ever been to. And way too expensive. (Hello Costa Rica) 1: my food was stolen from the fridge (was labeled with my name). I also heard from some other people that something was stolen from them. 2: my bed was so dirty and it smelled like mold. And generally very smelly. I got an eye infection on the first night. And I'm not normally sensitive. 3: My room was very small. My rucksack didn't fit……
