“Very nice cabins. The ones closest to the road can be a little noisy but not unbearable. Great restaurant on the property. We also visited a nearby Caribbean restaurant called Lidia’s for delicious food. The beach is walking distance behind the property but you have to search for a safe spot to swim due to big surf ”

“I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly welcoming, the food was tasty, and the beautiful beach behind the property was a wonderful bonus—it felt almost private. Waking up to the sounds of howler monkeys in the morning was a memorable experience. Just keep in mind that having a car is beneficial. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and peaceful getaway!”

“We enjoyed our very short stay at La Bonita Lodge. Unfortunately the airline lost our luggage so we spent most of our day in San Jose buying clothes before heading down to Puerto Viejo. We arrived late but had a nice dinner at Banana Azul and then were able to use the easy to follow directions to gain access to the property and our room. The room was spotless and welcoming. We weren't able to park our car in the lot as it was full but after contacting the host we were told it was fine to park on……

“El hotel es muy bonito y tranquilo, ideal para relajarse. Los bungalows, con su diseño cuidadosamente pensado, son muy cómodos y acogedores. El desayuno es sencillo pero delicioso, con todo lo necesario para empezar bien el día. El único punto negativo es que los bungalows están bastante cerca entre sí y las paredes no aíslan bien el sonido, por lo que cualquier ruido puede llegar a ser molesto para los vecinos.”

“Amazing immersion experience in the jungle. The grounds and the 360 experience cabin were so beautiful. Included breakfast was super fresh and delicious each morning and we were able to get laundry service on site. The cabin has interior walls, full bathroom and functional kitchen with propane cooktop, fridge and cooking utensils. The exterior walls are mesh, with privacy curtains if you feel the need. “Property is very nice away from the main road which makes it pretty quiet. Breakfast was decent. Staff friendly. While we stayed there they had an issue with the Wi-fi not working, the hotel had people working on it but by the time we left there was still no internet connection.”
