“Hótel Le Roosevelt was a nice, clean hotel with a friendly staff. The room was fine and a good size for me as a single traveler. The toilet was in an awkward spot with part of a wall in the way, so one had to use it at a little angle. But easily managed. Overall, I rated it 5 stars except for the surrounding area which I rated 4 stars. To clarify, the area itself was fine, it just wasn't in a tourist area, such as Bellecour or Cordeleis. “The hotel’s location is excellent - right in front of beautiful Saone and very close to Lyon old town. The transportation details provided by the hotel is so clear that I was able to arrive the hotel easily by public transportation without any issue. “Perfect location among artsy and understated residential area. Bus C6 takes you directly from Lyon Train Station to the bottom hill where the hotel, an ancient fortress, is on top of the hill overlooking the river and Lyon. A nice 15 minute flat road or a quick shortcut stairs walk to the hotel. I came a couple of hours early and the staff put my luggage in storage and even found a vase for my 1 single rose (a Mother’s Day gift). There are excellent family run French restaurants and bakeries……
