“It is a quaint little rustic cabin tucked away in the woods. The deck is lovely spot to spend a morning drinking some coffee and watching the variety of birds that fly by. I had an issue with my truck and was able to quickly communicate with John about staying an extra day and even getting to check out a little later, closer to when my truck would be fixed.Definitely recommend staying here!”

“The Zen Den was The perfect place to overnight on our way North. It's near Werner springs, the Pacific Crest trail and Lake Henshaw all fun places to go take a look around. ”

“The cabin had many items and features of the past with all the modern conveniences. The property had a place to sit outside and enjoy the trees and surroundings. It was a very relaxing place to stay and enjoy friends. And very close to Julian.”

“We greatly enjoyed the little house, it was exactly what we were looking for! Everything we could need! Be sure to follow the owners directions to the house, not gps, they are different so trust hers. I was nervous arriving after dark, and if the roads were wet or icy it may have been difficult. But it was a dry lovely weekend. Stay here!”

“As we pulled into the driveway of the A-Frame and saw the welcoming sign that said "You're Here!", snow began to dust my windshield. This quickly became a hailstorm which gave way to a heavy snowfall. Giant flakes fluttered to the ground as we explored our new digs and my kids and I quickly headed out to build a snowman, The retreat must be packed with renters in the warmer months. During our stay in early March, I think we saw three other people the entire time. That just enhanced the feeling……

“Wonderful tiny cabin. We had a great visit celebrating my husband’s birthday. Very clean with beautiful views of the natural beauty and wildness surrounding it. Was able to get some fantastic photos of the sunset from the front porch as well. Would definitely recommend it to others.”

“As the description suggests, this is a tiny little house. Kitchen is good for pre-made food brought in to store and eat. Bed is comfy and the place had everything we needed for a couple of nights in Julian.”

“Such an adorable cabin in a beautiful area. We enjoyed walking to the winery next door and also went and rode our bikes on a preservation. We brought our propane and really enjoyed relaxing by the propane fire. Becky is very kind and responds quickly. We did not use the pool due to the weather being chilly, but it is a beautiful pool.”

“What a fantastic safari-like experience! The place was very tastefully done (think senior British officer's tent in 1800s) with all modern amenities (and wifi, if you dont want to unplug). Host Lauri was very communicative and easy to work with. We'll definitely be back when we have moree dayss.”
