“Tip of the hill was a great place to stay! All needs were met staying here. Laura was great and communicated well. We had family arrive from NYC, Maine, Arizona and Ohio. Great central location for Fall wedding nearby.”

“Very nice house on wonderful, spacious property close to DC but feels like in the country. Listing has breakfast and playground as amenities, niether of which are accurate. Kids loved the adjustable basketball hoop. House could use a highchair for families staying with infants as we were. Kitchen well stocked with cookware, bakeware, dishes and utensils.”

“Hilldale Farmhouse has a lot of history and beauty. We had a family wedding with folks traveling from Fl. we all wanted to stay in one place. It was perfect. What I did not realize was the porch with the two twin beds was only screened in. Since this was the case we had a couple folks sleeping on couches. Other than that it was wonderful. ”

“Weekend trip to explore the Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience. House was a perfect location!”

“The home was beautifully decorated & very clean. We arrived at 4:00 pm on Friday & unfortunately had to leave for a family emergency at home less than an hour later so never got to explore the town or property. ”

“This was the perfect country style visit right next to the city so it fit my versatile family perfectly to bring in year 2025. Beautiful house! Beautiful view, especially the night sky. Precious horses. Only negative, very extreme, is their repellent killed my pets. I will definitely visit again, but will leave my pets home next time. ”

“Our family stayed here for our son’s wedding at a nearby farm venue. Home was spotless, kitchen well stocked for cooking (although we didn’t do any), and the house is very conveniently located in Shepherdstown. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants in minutes. Easy drive to the wedding venue. As noted in the property description, there are a lot of stairs inside and out, so not the best choice if someone has mobility issues. Also, the sunny bedroom with all the windows is really lovely,……

“Waterford is far enough away from Washington, but close enough to make a weekend getaway easy. And staying at Scarlet Springs Farm for the weekend was truly the icing on the cake. And Laura and her family made our stay even better. The house is well appointed - fantastic kitchen, comfy beds, beautiful views from back deck. This is a wonderful location to visit so many interesting vineyards, farm stands, nurseries, and some very nice restaurants in Purcellville. We look forward to visiting……
