“This is a charming 400-year-old farmhouse that has been well-loved and is perfect for hosting large get togethers. While it has been updated over the years, most of the original layout remains intact. There are lots of rules, but none are unreasonable, and there is a lot to know simply because it is a very large, historic home. This house feels warm and welcoming. “This was the cleanest house (vacation rental or otherwise!) I have ever been in! The owner thought of everything with plenty of extra towels, pillows, shampoo, etc. We got snow Saturday night and were plowed twice to be sure we could get in and out. The house is open and airy with floor to ceiling windows and luxurious kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of French doors to the private backyard. Incredibly convenient location, but set back from the street. 5!”

“My family including 6 adults and 2 children stayed at this house February 14-17, 2025. House is as described in listing. House was clean and fully furnished. We enjoyed the sun room as we watched the snow fall. Karaoke machine was a big hit with the grandchildren. We would definitely go back and remarked that it would be fun to be there in the summer. The only suggestion was for some hooks to hang winter coats and jackets.”

A lovely drive north brought us to the coziest of suites, complete with fireplace, water views and a tasty apple crumb loaf to start our stay. The place was immaculate; everything accommodating to relax and enjoy each other’s company. We were not only able to enjoy Portsmouth, just a short drive away, but returned each night to a relaxing room, lighting a fire and letting out stresses dissolve.……
