“It was great. My only complaint was the lighting in the room is quite dark (lots of lamps but all of low wattage) so seeing the finer things as an older person was a challenge unless you went into the bathroom, then it was blinding.”

“Very nice property. Beds were good. Very clean hotel. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast had cheese omelette, biscuits and gravy, fried potatoes, fruits, yogurts. Coffee 24/7.”

“My room wasn't ready when I arrived due to "being overbooked" the previous night. They gave me a coupon for 2 free drinks which I enjoyed at the Rock and Hawk. This is a sports bar and grill off the main lobby. The best part of my stay was enjoying breakfast there the morning I left. The Plain ol' Breakfast with fruit was delicious. My waiter was attentive and friendly. Located on Mount Oread, there are beautiful views of the KU campus from the restaurant, just not my room. The hotel exterior……

“The customer service was excellent. The room was nice and updated. The bathroom was fairly clean. Housekeeping was excellent and friendly! The bed was fairly comfortable but was clean with freshly washed linens. Parking and access to the room was great! I would stay again at this hotel! Reasonably and completely priced. ”

“Very very old fixtures, fridge, microwave. However very clean. My room was small but I do not need much space. I have personally seen and purchased nicer chairs and tables at Goodwill. The desk chair did not adjust, so I sat as a low rider at the desk. Mrs. Patel (mgr) is very kind and suggestfull of places to see in Lawrence. The internet reception kept going in and out so I had to re-connect frequently.”
