“Wife and I were looking for a place away from the hustle that comes with NOVA normally, and especially the weekend of the inauguration. I must say we found the absolute best spot. Nelson county has always been a favorite spot for us to go to, but most of the time we have made day trips. I absolutely love being able to post up for a weekend in a quiet setting and being able to relax. Even the pup enjoys the quiet and are keen to relax next to the stoves. “Dee's Cozy Haven was everything we were looking for. Secluded and just about to the top of the mountain gave us the quiet mountain escape we needed. Will be our first choice next time we are heading to the area. ”

“Cabin was clean and decorated cute. The creek was so peaceful. Alicia was very easy to communicate with. The only thing I would give a heads up for would be that the stairs to the loft were very steep. Wasn’t a problem for me, but for some people it would be. ”

“This is the second time my husband & our dogs have stayed here. We love the cabins & the site. The cabin is right next to a relaxing creek; our dog enjoyed it too. I love that we do not have cell phone service, but still had a strong wifi connection for when we wanted it. Lots of trails & things to see nearby. I can't wait to return again & continue to explore. ”

“If you are looking for a place to breathe fresh air with a view of pastures and the mountains, this place is for you. The owners were accessible for questions about local happenings with a quick text. The fenced-in yard and no steps anywhere were great for our dogs. The stars were incredible. The kitchen is well-supplied. If you want something more than taking in the view and relaxing, Lexington is a cute town and is just 20 minutes away. We'll be back!”

“Beautiful setting with Stone filled brook out the back door. Very close to several hikes including Crabtree falls. Many wineries, cideries and breweries to visit. Kitchen was well stocked. Grill easy to use and wood provided for wood stove and outdoor fire pit. They have WiFi but no smart tv. Occasional pack of barking dogs and heavy equipment noise in neighborhood.”

“Great stay, perfectly clean and accommodating. A beautiful tri-level home. Lots of room for all of our families and activities. Especially loved the Pacman game unit! Only reason for 4 stars on location is that it's 10-12 minutes just down the mountain to go elsewhere, so if you're like us who came in the spring without skiing, the usual ETA anywhere was 18 or so minutes to hit the major properties. The driveway was a little tricky to navigate but that's to be expected for a mountain resort”

“The property was extremely nice and accommodating. But, we found it to smaller than we were expecting and difficult for all to be together in the great room and missed having good views of mountains, etc. Manger was excellent.”
