“The home was a wonderful place to rest after a cold day of hiking. It was immaculate and cozy! The kitchen had everything you could need and more. We had a small issue with the check in but Anna responded immediately and even drove over to make sure that everything was okay. We would definitely stay here again!”

“Overall the place is a nice quiet getaway in the woods. Be prepared for lots of DIY when it comes to the sauna and all other wood burning stove fires. An issue for concern, if you stay in the Shire Suite, the front room is solely heated by the wood burning stove and the ventilation is very limited. VERY smokey throughout our entire stay. Also there’s a tin roof so if it’s raining (it did our whole stay) the noise is REALLY loud making it almost impossible to sleep. Pray for no rain at night.……

“My gal pals and I had a great stay at Cabell Cottage. There were 3 of us and we could have brought a 4th, although it would have meant a sofa bed for her.Just be aware there is only one shower but it is in a very large bathroom which was nice. The artistic flair of the cottage was so charming! We enjoyed the fireplace, but read the fine print that says "bring your own firewood." Also, there was no garbage bin for us to put trash, so we took it with us. Otherwise, the setting was phenomenal and……
