“We had a great time at staying in the cottage in alpena. We came with our 3 year old and had a nice time exploring the city. The house is outside where most of the main attractions in but only a 15 minute drive. We went to the dinosaur park, Connie’s cafe, the old and new light house, the thunder harbor museum and shipwreck tours! There is not air conditioning there so a fan is a great idea to bring. I was a little unsure from the listing if the water was accessible from the cottage, there’s a……

“Perfect!! Excellent communication from Aimee prior to arrival and coffee station was a wonderful surprise. Front porch set up with bistro rocking set and perfect for morning coffee or a glass of evening wine. Beds were comfortable, kitchen and bathroom were furnished with all necessities. Location spot on for the purpose of my trip. Very nice alternative to the hotels and definitely recommend for your next trip to Hillman.”

“Beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Close enough to Alpena that you can experience some of what a city has to offer, far enough away that you have peace and quiet. The kayaks got put to use on the river and everything that we could need had been thought of. Plenty of dishes to use. Plenty of chairs to sit by the fire. Plenty of firewood to burn. Check-in was stress-free. We met the host for a quick tour and they were available via text if we had any need. Cell reception in the area was spotty,……
