“This hotel is currently under renovation. The lobby is full of boxed things (I assume furniture), but they managed to keep a sofa and television available for guests. The desk clerk seemed a little scattered, but he was friendly. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. One entrance to the parking lot is in serious need of repaving. All in all - not a bad overnight stay. ”

“Wonderful historic hotel with notes to read about past events. It can really help you imagine the 1800s, since it was lovingly restored with the goal of looking just like it did. Laurie was kind, helpful and thoughtful too. Room stayed cool and we enjoyed passing trains. Easy to walk around town with dining options and you could walk to it from the Amtrak station. The only suggestion would be to have a hanger or 2 in the room and maybe some bottles of water, although the room had a glass bottle……
