“very nice surprise, a lot of history to the place especially if you are into the anglo boer war, Paul Kruger etc. Met the owner, Robert Forsyth, very nice and friendly person, full of knowledge about South African History. The room we were in was very spacious, it also included a sizeable bathtub. There are 60 something rooms in the lodge but they appear to be spread out as I only saw maybe a dozen which made the place very private. “ On arrival the receptionist wanted us to pop extra money because the prices on hotel.com are wrong.no hot water in the morning. No enough toilet paper in the room. The cleaning stuff dont take out rubbish bins.”

“Serene, restful and all that I wished for. The staff, particularly Tumi went an extra mile in assisting me after making a nistake with dates. She made sure the required date was booked, and she was friendly throughout. The place was calm, peaceful, and I slept like a baby. I will definitely booked there again ”
