“Our room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help.”

“One of the best B&B's I have ever stayed, helpful, friendly with nothing too much trouble. Bed/bathroom bright, clean & modern. Unusual in B&B's there were 2 comfortable lounges and honesty bar. Breakfast was outstanding and my only negative, the parking was tight & needed care. Property close to town and lake. Gg”

“Had a few days in The Lakes while visiting family in the UK and attending the Oasis concert in London. We could not have been happier with The Ambleside Inn - totally excellent stay. Great location, wonderful staff (thank you) and although no onsite parking there are lots very close to the Inn and the short stay (30 min) drop off is right outside. Highlights: clean and pretty well kept, despite it being super busy (it was July!), with a really good breakfast and a nice cozy bar plus Pub Food in……
