“Absolutely perfect stay. We had the 2 bedroom villa which was gigantic. It comes with a well equipped kitchen and a back terrace that is perfect for breakfast sojourns before getting into the heat of San Ignacio. There is a pool here too, albeit small. The staff are particularly great, and everyone is super polite and helpful. You will need a car to get here, and it’d make sense to rent one anyway as you have to drive in Belize. “The guesthouse is located in an 80 year old historic building that is on the side of town where locals live and shop. It's a short walk from the bus terminal, San Ignacio market, Cahal Pech, Green Iguana Conservation, and other touristic sites. Max is a great host who sent us a lot of local recommendations from sightseeing places to restaurants. “Nice small resort on the river. It has a restaurant & bar offering breakfast, lunch & dinner (dinner options limited). They can arrange tours, we did 1 thru them & it was good. It's not in town but within 10-15 minutes, so if you want to go to dinner in town you'll need a car. We had an issue with air conditioner that they fixed right away even though it was Good Friday, had to jiggle with toilet a few times to get it to work & 1 entry door would only partly open. The rooms are well priced and tour guides know it’s location so can accommodate direct hotel transfers. Very handy having a restaurant and bar and pool to dip into after hot day touring! ”
