“Great hotel in good location. If you like to be away from the busy town life and be in the thick of the out doors this is definitely the place to stay. Only draw back you have to keep catching a taxi which will cost you $5 each trip to get something to eat in the main town as there’s nothing near you. Only negative thing I can say about the hotel is they could improve on the breakfast. We stayed in quite a few boarding houses across Ecuador and the galapagos and this hotels breakfast was the……

“Slight problem with the room on arrival, having booked a family room, but we compromised since it was only for a night, and a sofa was made up to suit. Owners couldn’t have been more apologetic or indeed more helpful during our stay. The hotel is a little unusual in that it is made somewhat castle like, with quirky architecture - which incidentally was the reason we booked for the night. Located away from the harbour area and the main restaurants so a taxi to & from that area is required,……

“After we finally got checked in, turned the AC on and it was not cold. Owner told me it would cool down and to let her know if I didn't need it "cold like hers (friend's room) I would be fine but I could switch it in the morning. Let me be clear, the AC did not work AT ALL and when we returned it was hotter in the room than outside at 9pm. Couldn't open the windows or doors because the of the mosquitoes. “Excellent hotel! We also stayed in another one in Puerto Ayora a week before. Almost double the prize and about the same ratings (except they had a large pool). Dreams is very good value for money and in a great location. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.”
