“The location was very convenient, and in a truly beautiful spot. The convent is a clean and beautiful place. The view from my room to the courtyard was very pretty, and the breakfast was good. The last day, two ladies even brought my breakfast to my room without me even asking- I thought that a very thoughtful gesture. The staff were all lovely, with only one exception- the manager, who I believe, owns the place. I am disabled, and overheard her making a joke about me and disabled people to her……

“I had a great (short) stay at Carmo Country (in Villa Mirante). Mónica and Diogo are wonderful hosts. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The space was clean. I also enjoyed the breakfast experience. If I return to the island I would stay there again.”
