“The forest and the wildlife are the reason for staying here so in that respect this place gets 10 out of 10. We did a birding tour and a night walk and took advantage of the free nature walk. The latter was conducted by Joel and I strongly encourage people not to pass on this even though they may have other tours booked. It was absolutely superb and held our interest for every minute of the 3 hours.
The accommodation is simple. The beds were a little hard and the pillows win the prize for the……
“We enjoyed the cabin; it was perfect for our needs. It might have been nice to have a chair in the cabin. But we were able to sit at the restaurant tables and use the wifi there. so all our needs were met! Thank you ! ”
“OMG we loved this place. Best part of out 10 day trip that included Arenal and Manuel Antonio. Great early birding tour, and saw tanagers and kingbirds from our balcony. The cabins and walkways are of beautiful wood, nestled in trees and flowers. ”
“Really nice property on the river with excellent, very kind owners. Highly recommended eating dinner here while you stay, the food was excellent. You get treated lile family. Rooms have AC, wifi, shower, toilet, television. ”
“This was an inexpensive option for our family to stay in Sarapiqui. The property is interesting because of the covered pathways and proximity to two miles of rainforest trails, and we spied frogs, howler monkeys, iguana, caterpillars, etc. Breakfast was wonderful. There is no air conditioning or hot water, which was fine for us. Wet clothes will take a looooong time to hang dry. We are a family of 6, and I thought from photos that we would likely have a room with bunk beds. Instead we were given……
“Very nice property with stunning flora and fauna. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The included breakfast - fresh fruits, eggs, housemade toast and jam, rice and beans as well as a fresh coconut - was delicious, especially the coffee. I only stayed one night and had to leave early in the morning, wish I had more time here but plan to be back next time. ”
“Great host!
Comfortable cabins in the middle of the rainforest. Beautiful trails right behind the rooms. The host is super friendly and has great knowledge. It is very small and private.
Recommended a 4x4 for the street to location. ”
“I loved the family who own and run Los Gallitos. They are so genuinely friendly -- it made our stay. We tried to stay two nights, and wish we had. The pool was lovely, and the location is perfect for exploring the area around the waterfalls in the mountains. ”
“It’s a fantastic lodge in the middle of the kungör. The cabins are very rustic, but has electricity and a private bathroom. Wi-Fi in the public building. Good food, wine and beer in the restaurant. Nice tours in the jungle and fantastic personel. If you don’t expect a five star hotel, than you get a five star experience.”
“Je cherchais un hébergement a sarapiqui, j' ai louer 3 chambre car ma famille es nombreuses, nous avons eu deux chambres bien situé et propre et nous avons aimé le déjeuner pris en extra. Il y a une des chambres cependant qui était située dans le bars au dessusu des toilettes,très bruyant cet emplacement. Nous avons aussi pris le service de buanderie et mes filles ont profité de la piscine, belle place, c'est certain que certaines installations ont de l'âge,ont voit des pierres manquante dans……
“My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed La Finca Azul, and especially the family whose vision it is -- including Nacho, Oli, and Cece, the three dogs. I've stayed in agroturismos in Italy, and this was a very similar experience, complete with the fabulous food. I'm pretty sure Italy doesn't offer swimming by yourself in a mountain stream surrounded by the echoes of howler monkeys. ”
