“We very much enjoyed our stay at Portland Sanctuary! It was myself, my husband and my toddler. It was a large space, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was especially convenient and having basics like oil and spices made it so we could easily prepare a few meals. Beds were quite comfy too. My son loved the chickens in the yard! Only negatives were that the heaters are low to the ground and can get hot to the touch so I had to be careful which ones were on when my toddler was ”

The neighborhood is a glorious collection of historic homes with different character, jaw dropping gardens, and a surprise bonus with the delightful local coffee shop just half a block north. Interior of units have been tastefully renovated and the host has an eye for experiential detail…from the welcome gift to coffee and teas as well as bath products. Be forewarned that the steps to unit are steep and the close proximity to 99w makes it a little noisy BUT these potential negatives do not bother me…extra steps are good and the sound machine/ear plugs solve the noise issue. ”

“I stayed at Memoir Buckman for 3 nights. The property was well appointed and tastefully decorated. The staff were super helpful and accommodating. They don’t have onsite parking, but if you’re visiting with a vehicle, there are surface lots close by. The only negative was the weekend noise level. It’s not Memoir Buckman’s fault, but the sports bar (Jackie’s) across the street has a dj or something on Friday and Saturday nights until about 2 AM. My room faced the bar, and the music was so……
