“Great place to stay and very unique, you will need to walk quite a lot of stairs and the roads require a 4x4 and aren’t the best in parts ”

“Basic hotel so not for the luxury travelers but bed was comfy and shower good. Has a patio where I could sit and watch birds in the trees. Owner very friendly- made me breakfast every day and provided rides to and from ferry and airport for a small extra fee. Great base for doing Corcovado activities ”

“We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Margarita. We had them (Alberto) book our tours and found that if you pay cash (dollars or colones) you save some money on your tours. We did the snorkeling (well worth the money!) - 4 different snorkeling stops, an island stop and a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant. Corcovado Park tour - make sure and take shoes to get wet getting in and out of the boat, as well as shoes to wear while touring the park (they provide a lunch at the part and you are not allowed……

“Loved this hotel. Excellent food and service. The view were fabulous, we saw toucans, macaws and humming birds from our terrace. We chose to travel from Sierpe and the boat ride to the hotel was very exciting! Would definitely stay again and hope to come back soon!”

“I was at the last cabana on the ridge. It had a kitchen in an attached room. It was great to bring back leftovers, make coffee and enjoy local fruit. There were 2 beds, a king and queen. The shower was walk in and everything worked well and was very clean. I ate at the table on the patio, enjoyed the hammock, and entertained by a multitude of birds, ant eater and ajouti. I would definitely come back.”

“Beautiful views when you stay at the top guesthouse. Communication was not good and transportation is limited so pre arrange. The food is good but may close early in off season. I did see a few bugs but over all the place was clean and the air from fans and AC units helped allot”
