“We are a group of 8 ladies enjoying a weekend away and we had a wonderful weekend at Downs Cottage. The property was perfect… comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful decor, superb location, sauna was a bonus and the garden was very pretty. Deal itself was a very welcoming town, friendly people. We’d recommend Margarita’s for take away pizza and Mike’s Bikes for cycle hire. Walking distance into Deal from the cottage was about 30mins, which along the seafront was no time at all. The heating was on a schedule such that at night the temperature in the house was around 6 degrees giving me a backache until I asked the owner to keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees. “We loved the huge and interesting house and garden It was better equipped than any other house we had stayed in - especially the kitchen. Parking arrangements are good. The village has a choice of food shops within walking distance. The sea is close. We would have liked the house to have been warmed up and aired a little before our arrival but that’s a small grumble. We really enjoyed our stay there - it worked very well for us. We could be both together and separate !”
