“An excellent experience, the room was quiet and the windows opened fully to let in fresh air on a warm evening The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious including the generous cooked breakfast that was included in the charge for the stay. I would happily use Salwey Arms again.”

“The soundproof was not good at all. During late evening and early in the morning, the footsteps from upstairs were SO LOUD. We could not sleep well due to the noise. The squeaking sound was crazy, as the guests kept walking. Sound proof of walls on the same floor was ok, not silent, but totally acceptable. Apart from the noise, everything is fine. The location is good. Not too far from town centre. It has a big car park, so perfect for a rest in the middle of road trip. Cleaniness is also……

“Very good offering. Lovely reception and bad area. Rooms are a little dated but the hotel is perfectly good and has everything you need. Comfortable stay on all 3 occasions. Bar staff are super friendly and talkative.”

“Lovely place, easy to find and parking was easy with just a short walk - the room was lovely, as were the staff and breakfast! Unfortunately I had a bit of a rough night as although I was placed into room 8 which was advised as one of the quieter rooms (I couldn’t hear the road or trains or anything in this room) a neighbour/other guest upstairs was making lots of noise into the night which I appreciate the hosts cannot necessarily help”
