“Check in was hassel free and only took a few minutes. It was clean and quiet during the night.”

“The room was excellent except for the bathtub. The room appeared to be new or refurbished so that it looked new. The counter and sink in the bathroom looked new showing no signs of wear and use. The bathtub had a number imperfections that were oxidizing, needs to be sealed or replaced. They use a curved shower curtain rod that will not stay horizontal resulting in the shower curtain sliding downward allowing water to splash all over the floor.”

“Convenient to my organized bicycling tour end 4/26 at Hampton Inn Elizabeth City (other hotels in the area were fully booked). Noisy — only 40 meters away from busy hwy US-17 and a high-pitched sound that seems to come from the room’s fridge/freezer; Bring earplugs. Pros: efficient fridge/freezer; business-like staff; clean (except for some stray pet hair). Cons: no security latch on door; in my room 112, unrepaired damage from previous guests — missing shower head (unpleasant to use, to say the……

“We have stayed at the Sanderling before and enjoyed our stay. Our complaint on this visit was the outdoor dining and lobby bar were not open. There seems to be a hard rule that everything isn't open until Memorial weekend. If you wanted something to drink you had to walk over to the restaurant which was not a quick walk. My husband also thought the landscaping looked terrible. Also a lot of the wood handrailing should be replace as the wood is splintering and is a hazard.”

“Lovely retreat on the water. Close to town but tucked away from the traffic and chaos. Lots of wildlife and very kind and attentive innkeepers.”

“Building old and creaky. Not close enough to beach. We were put in a room far away from lobby even though there was hardly anyone there when we checked in. ”

“Walking distance to Pier & beach if u don't have leg & back issues. Right across the street from beach 🏖️. Everyone is very kind. None of the appliances working on kitchen counter but we found a way. LoL The snacks, drinks, & wine everyday were wonderful compliments to our trip. PS. Please clean the seagulls poop off Deck!! ”

“Our stay at Beach Rd Bed and Breakfast was amazing! The house is perfectly located across from the beach which provided amazing sunrise and sunset views! The Corolla room had a perfect private balcony and was the best spot for a short beach trip with my dog. The owners left out snacks for breakfast and happy hour which was the sweetest touch! A 10/10 experience!! ”
